I first saw a bunch of scooters randomly strewn around the streets of the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. My first thought that it was some kind of tourist group run amok. A few days I later, I saw the same thing in downtown DC.

It turns out that on demand scooter rentals are a thing – a very big thing. Possibly, the next big thing in Silicon Valley.
