Welcome to Prantagonize
"Why, you motherfucker cock sucker, why don't you come over and talk
to me person to person!"
Welcome to the first issue of Prantagonize, the first and only prank magazine on the Internet, or anywhere for that matter. We are proud this month to bring you interviews with Captain Janks and Jim Davidson, two huge names in the prank world, as well as a slew of other great articles. This issue is the first of many (or at least a couple more), with
subsequent issues coming out either quarterly, or every six months...
we'll base our decision on how often to publish on whether my left nut
itches or not when I wake up on August 27th. Many unexpected
developments came out of our efforts for this issue. We hope you find
them as interesting as we did.
Our writers are pranksters and prank fans from all over the country, and there's plenty of room for more people. This issue's contributors represent just a few of the great pranksters out there, so if you want to get in on it let us know who you are and what you'd like to write. We've got a lot of catching up to do on reviewing all the albums that are out there. As well, we're looking for people to explore the "performance art for the masses" aspect of prank calls from an intellectual standpoint. So if the art of prank calls makes your brain spin, jump aboard. A prank call magazine? What is there to write about? Well, you're about to find out. The great thing about the Internet is the ability to find an audience for niche topics, and real prank calls are definitely a niche topic. Still, there are a lot of screaming Rizzo teenagers out there with Jerky Boys tapes in hand, so if you're chompin' at the bit to get on the phone and do some pranks, slow down for a minute, jackass. Before you record yet another imitation prank call tape, read and absorb everything that we put before you in Prantagonize. Before you call a pizza parlor and tell them the pepperoni made you sick, read what Captain Janks and the Bum Bar Bastards have gone through to get where they are today. Read what risks they have taken and what sacrifices they have made for a laugh. Think about what you're about to get into - what kind of pranks are you going to do? What's going to happen if you go too far? Prank calls can be fun AND legal, but many toe the line. This is not to discourage any aspiring pranksters, I'm merely suggesting you do a little research first. Put a little thought into what kind of calls you'll make, and what will make you stand out from the crowd of wannabes.
