    It used to be that all you needed was two turntables and a microphone, but now you get all that old school DJ’ing goodness onto one touchscreen device.

    The Windows team will be on-hand at the International Mutek festival, between June 1 and June 5, to demo the latest DJ technology.

    Here’s some more info from the Windows Experience blog:

    If this has piqued your interest, you may want to stop by the international Mutek festival this June 01-June 05. Windows will be on-hand to demo the latest in fusions between the worlds of DJing and technology. You’ll be able to see DJ Deadbeat debut his new record “Drawn and Quartered,” DJ Prezzner’s new remix for Underworld and Ian Pooley and Microsoft’s Darek Mazzone showcasing new radio and multi-media initiatives.

    If you live in the Montreal area and would like a one on one demo with one of the DJs please comment on this post and a winner will be chosen at random to receive passes to the Mutek festival.

    Right next to the Mobile Apps Experience area, there was a huge booth featuring a steel drum band.

    While I didn’t like having to out talk them during my presentation, I did enjoy their music.
