Fifteen years and one week ago, I started up this little technology blog as part of FranksWorld.com. Thanks to the WayBack Machine, you can see it for yourself in all its retro 2004 glory.
I would point you to the original link, but ClearDB had other plans when they wiped out all my posts from 2004 to 2017.
In any case, 15 years of consistent blogging is a milestone and in 2017, despite losing all my data, I pressed on and refocused the site’s efforts on data science and AI. While losing that much data hurt, in the scheme of things, it was minor. Let’s face it, who is looking for Silverlight design pattern code these days?
When I say consistent, I mean it. I have posted at least once a month (usually more) since that fateful February. In fact, being the data nerd that I am, I have a spreadsheet that tracks exactly how often I posted over that span of time.
Here are the numbers:
Min | 1 |
Max | 225 |
Total | 6527 |
Avg Posts Per month | 36.03314917 |
Median | 30 |
Standard Deviation | 30.35843 |
Mode | 34 |
Posts since ClearDB wiped me out | 952 |
And a pretty chart:
And why not celebrate such a milestone with some cake? And this time, the cake is not a lie!
